CBS SPORTSLINE allows you to set a period of time each day where the clock freezes. (You can still make a pick but failure to do so will not force your team to make an autopick.)
I live on the west coast and I am up late every night very rarely in bed before midnite so I don't care too much. I am also up by 615 most mornings - and I check my email on the way to work.
So my preference would be to set a relatively short freeze period - maybe 2am EST to 730am EST?
Even if you get a good night sleep - you can still check within a few hours on either side of that in most cases.
Ok - so please chime in with your opinions.
ALSO - ON THE DRAFT TIMER (how long you have to pick)
For now I plan to set the timer to 9 hours. Is that too long or too short for anyone?
I will have commish access so if you are away from computer more than 8 hours - you can usually call me and I can input your pick for you.
OK LET ME KNOW> (wes)

All your recommendations sound good to me, and I live in Rhode island!

Little Reminder...............if everyone averaged just 3 hrs per pick. That would be 45 per rd or 2250 hrs or 93.75 days to finish the draft. We SHOULD shoot for 20 to 30 days or 1 hr or less on average.

Not sure if you have done these drafts before - But I bet you the first 3 rounds will go quickly - everyone is excited.
Then rounds 4-10 will go super slow - this guy and that guy (including me sometimes) will hold up the draft for 4-6 hours here and there.
after round 11 - it will go significantly faster as the teams start to fill up and people start using auto draft to prepack their players.
We will be done in less than 30 days.
(That's my personal prediction)
I have done - maybe 6 or 7 drafts of this fashion and never seen one take more than 32 days.
